Lab News

Thanks to CFI and Research Manitoba, the Pelka lab has acquired new toys! They include two items that are the first of their kind in Canada:  a Molecular Devices high content imager (the ImageXpress Micro 4) and a Molecular Devices plate reader (the SpectraMax iD3). The lab is also now home to the Bio-Rad QX200 droplet digital PCR system with automatic droplet generator.

Congratulations to Drayson for getting his latest paper published in the Journal of Virology discussing the reasons for alternate E1A mRNA processing of virally-expressed E1A versus 293-expressed E1A. Way to go team!!
